      History

The Resource Centre for Voluntary Organizations (RCVO) was created in the 1980s to provide educational and skill development opportunities, materials and referrals for Alberta's non-profit and charitable organizations. It was the only resource centre of its kind in Canada at the time, and the RCVO helped organzations with fundraising development, marketing skills and more. The Voluntary Sector Management Program was responsible for running the centre and collecting the resources.

Originally operating in the Seventh Street Plaza building, the RCVO was relocated to the City Centre Campus in October 1993, where it closed in the early 2000s.
