The Provost and Vice-President, Academic is responsible for promoting a culture of academic excellence at MacEwan University and maintaining the University’s reputation as a student-focused institution. The position is head of Academic Affairs.

Scope and content
Fonds consists of committee agendas, newsletters, handbooks, annual reports, documentation, correspondence, reports, outreach course files and proposals, and provincial government/ministry approval letters for programs of study. Also included are Dean's Council decision textual records that were scanned by the DC before sending to the Archives. In 2020, DC changed processes - the decision record became an electronic action log.

Records transferred to the Archives from Kim Warkentine, Academic Governance Council, and Judy Cholak, Executive Assistant to the Provost, Kit Anderson, Office of the Provost, as well as removed from the file room in the University Administration area by the University Archivist.
