The collection consists of audio files, project documentation and transcriptions of 24 interviews held with instructors, staff and students who worked at or attended Grant MacEwan Community College between 1971 and 1999.
MacEwan University ArchivesCollection consists of material collected by Grant MacEwan Community College's second president and is comprised of a statue of Gerry riding a griffin with inscription: "In honour of Dr. Gerald O. Kelly, President: Grant MacEwan Community College, August 31, 1981 to August 31, 1996," 3 plaques, 12 photographs, 1 print, 1 book by Glenn Ruhl signed by the Board of Governors, 1993, and 5 books autographed by Dr. MacEwan and inscribed to Gerry.

Plans are labelled with a code consisting of a letter and number (eg, A-1), corresponding to the file list. Also includes staff telephone directories.

These include 10 logs whittled by Grant MacEwan, 52 books (most signed; complete works of Grant MacEwan), clippings, 35 plaques, miscellaneous objects including 2 suitcases, 2 cowboy hats, straw hat, fireman's helmet, policeman's hat and billy club, headphones, radio and microphone, and sweatshirts and buttons from Grant MacEwan Day. Graphic material includes posters and photographs. Textual records include a letter to Grant MacEwan regarding the naming the institution after him, the program for the official opening in 1972, the transfer of land document for City Centre Campus, and the records of the Grant MacEwan Day Committee.
MacEwan, Grant, 1902-2000The collection consists of both textual records and photographs chronicling the life of Dr. J. W. Grant MacEwan and his personal involvement with the institution. Materials include newspaper, magazine, and article clippings, letters, books, awards, certificates, as well as MacEwan Day and other ceremony and special event ephemera.
Gray, Dorothy, 1941-2012The fonds consists of research material, photographs, correspondence, reviews, and a book jacket for Everyone's Grandfather: The Life and Times of Grant MacEwan authored by Donna von Hauff. It also contains drafts, printer's proofs and book jacket, photographs and slides for Buffalo: Sacred & Sacrificed, written by Grant MacEwan and edited by Donna von Hauff. Also included is a photocopy of a handwritten diary belonging to Grant MacEwan with entries dated 1906-1951.
