Alberta College fonds

The fonds consists of records from the Executive Office including reports, budgets, committee meeting documents, business plans, news releases, newspaper articles, correspondence with government departments, and organizational charts from Alberta College previous to being taken over by Grant MacEwan College. Photographs include events, campus structures, and the construction of the last building. Presidents during this time period were Dr. Reginald Pridham, Brenda Cooke, and Michael Faulkner. Also included are records and a timeline relating to the Conservatory of Music, transfer documents, and a history of Alberta College and its centenary (1903-2003).

The materials have been divided into the following series: 1) events, 2) promotional material, 3) flags, 4) plaques. Items include buttons, pins, institutional seals, a signed Griffins jersey presented to Bill Comrie in recognition of his donation to University Athletics, a miniature shovel from SAMU groundbreaking ceremony, flags, a plaque commemorating the official opening of the City Centre Campus from Mayor Jan Reimer, horse gear from the Equine Program, and convocation mortarboard and tassel.
