Fonds consists of the contents of a time capsule created by the Students’ Association in 1993 to commemorate the official opening of City Centre Campus with instructions that it be opened during MacEwan’s 50th anniversary. Contents include promotional brochures, student handbooks, program guides, event programs, staff and student memories, newspapers, photographs, t-shirts, and objects. A file list is available.
Also included are materials produced for the 50th anniversary: A commemorative look at 50 years / MacEwan University, 50 years of MacEwan memories / Retirees of MacEwan University, a schedule of events for 50th on Fourth, held April 29 - 30, 2022, a commemorative view master, and pageantry banners.

Fonds consists of marketing publications including program guides, continuing education offerings, scholarship information, reports to the community, brochures, Alumni News newsletters, Aspire magazine, and 5 8" x 12" framed black and white photographs of senior administrators from the Business Division (1970s-1980s), as well as material from the Microcomputer Management and Microcomputer Specialist programs including MicroNews newsletters, program brochures, and graduation photographs and material from the Information Management and Library Technology program including calendar, yearbook, and annual report excerpts, and graduation class photographs. Other graduation photographs include Insurance, Human Resources, and Public Relations programs.

Fonds consists of newsletters of selected events happening at or impacting the university, including those dedicated to budget issues; correspondence, reports, news releases, and clippings for City Centre Campus development, including groundbreaking and grand opening; agendas, minutes, reports, and speeches from the committees of senior administrators, and the Board of Governors Facilities Committee. Also included is material relating to current and former presidents.

Grant MacEwan University artifacts collection
The collection consists of institutional artifacts that primarily commemorate events or promote the institution. The materials have been divided into the following series: 1) events, 2) promotional material, 3) flags, 4) plaques. Items include buttons, pins, institutional seals, a signed Griffins jersey presented to Bill Comrie in recognition of his donation to University Athletics, a miniature shovel from SAMU groundbreaking ceremony, flags, a plaque commemorating the official opening of the City Centre Campus from Mayor Jan Reimer as well as 5 plaques from Jasper Place, horse gear from the Equine Program, and convocation mortarboard and tassel. Also included are glass bottles and ceramic CN mug which were dug up when site remediation was done before breaking ground for Allard Hall in 2014.
